La Academia anunció este martes la lista de nominados para la 94va edición de los premios Oscar 2022, los que se celebrarán el próximo 27 de marzo.
La ceremonia contará con un anfitrión por primera vez desde 2018, luego que el año pasado no tuviera presentadores y se realizará de manera especial debido a la pandemia del COVID-19.
El listado de los Oscar fue encabezado por «The Power of the Dog» de Netflix con 12 nominaciones, incluyendo la de Mejor Película, casi todas las categorías actorales, la de Guión Adaptado y la de Mejor director para Jane Campion, la única mujer nominada en esta categoría. Más atrás le siguió «Dune» con 10 nominaciones, «Belfast» con 7 y «West Side Story» y «King Richard» con 6 cada una. Por el puesto a mejor película compiten además de las anteriormente mencionadas: Coda, Dont Look up de Netflix, Drive my car, Licorice Pizza y Nightmare Alley de Guillermo del Toro.
En el apartado actoral Benedict Cumberbatch y Andrew Garfield son los favoritos para ganar por The Power of the Dog y Tick, tick…boom! respectivamente. Mientras que en las actrices Kristen Stewart sorprendió con su nominación por Spencer.

Pasando a la animación: Raya and the last dragon , Mitchells vs the machines, Flee, Luca y Encanto se enfrentan por el título. Esta última además va por mejor música original y mejor canción original con Dos Oruguitas, pese al éxito de No se habla de Bruno.
La casa del ratón además fue destacada por diseño de vestuario y maquillaje y peinados gracias a Cruella. Mientras que en efectos especiales recibió nominación Shang-chi. También de la casa de las ideas pero de mano de Sony, compite en la misma categoría: Spiderman no way home.
Cabe destacar que nuestro país recibió una nominación a esta edición de los Oscar en el apartado de mejor corto animado por Bestia. El cual está inspirado en la vida de Íngrid Olderöck, exagente de la Dina conocida como “la mujer de los perros”, quien cometió vejámenes en centros de tortura como Venda Sexy.
